One beautiful sunny morning Hanuman was flying
super-fast across Bangalore to visit his friend Aadit. Aadit had packed a
picnic basket with French fries, chocolate cake and triple banana milk shake
which was Hanuman’s favourite. They had planned a playdate at Funky Monkeys
followed by a picnic at Cubbon Park.
On the way to Aadit’s house Hanuman saw a
giant bubble bath. All excited Hanuman dived into the bubble bath. Only after
that did he realise that it was not a bubble bath at all- It was the stinky
frothy Bellandur lake. Poor Hanuman could not breathe. He immediately flew as
fast as he could to Aadit’s house so he could take a shower and get rid of the
stink before going for their playdate.
Hanuman landed on the balcony of Aadit’s
house. Aadit heard a loud thud and rushed to his balcony. To his surprise he
saw his friend Hanuman dripping wet, covered in froth and stinky. Aadit rushed
his friend to his room and Hanuman took a nice long hot shower to get rid of
the stink. After the shower, over a cup of delicious hot chocolate Hanuman told
Aadit about his misadventure. They decided to do something about this problem
along with Superman , who was Hanuman’s close friend.
Hanuman had a secret phone with a red and blue
button which directly connected to Superman. Superman picked up on the first
ring and agreed to come immediately when he heard about the problem. Superman
jetted across space from Krypton to planet Earth and was in Aadit’s house in
record time.
Over some delicious snacks the three friends
discussed and made a plan to clean and make Bellandur lake beautiful again.
Hanuman with Aadit on his shoulder and Superman flew to Bellandur lake. Here
Hanuman swung his mace around at lightning speed on top of the lake.
The froth gathered in one corner of the lake
and Superman with Aadit’s help collected all the froth in giant water proof
bag. Hanuman then used his superpower to compress the giant bag of froth into a
small paper bag that could be recycled. Superman used his laser beam to get rid
of all the hyacinth plants growing in the lake. Hanuman and Superman used their
hot breath to evaporate all the dirty water in the lake. Once the lake was
empty the three friends quickly cleaned the bottom of the lake.
Aadit meanwhile with the help of his friends
from Sobha Palladian performed a play titled Namma Ooru Namma Neeru . They
educated the people of Bangalore about
the harmful problems of water pollution, proper treatment and disposal of sewage
and garbage. Aadit and his friends then planted different types of plants
around the banks of the lake. Seeing this the people staying around Bellandur
lake also helped by a making walking path around the lake.

The
End !
Well written..good imagination..all the best
ReplyDeleteThere is hope for Bangalore when young ones are sensitive about the environmental challenges we face. I loved the 'Namma Ooru Namma Neeru' slogan. Superb writing and I hope we humans get to the solution without having to wait for Hanuman and Superman
